Since 2013, MVF (Manav Vikas Foundation) is the sole organization working with DB/MSI (Deaf-blind/Multi-sensory impairment) children and young adults and their families in Nagpur district of the State of Maharashtra in India.
“We provide early childhood, development at our ‘day care centre’ and at the home as well”
“We facilitate and support DB/MSI children to achieve faster”
Early prevention, identification and intervention are the 03 facets of MVF. Early prevention, identification and intervention works for providing therapeutic aid to children facing developmental delays. We at MVF with the aid of our multi-disciplinary team (Special educators; coordinators; occupational therapist and physiotherapist) assess the child and based on the assessment plan the intervention services. Through field visits in anganwadi; clinics and hospitals the team sensitizes the health workers to control disability proneness for risk babies.
Periodic check-up camps; parents-caregiver workshops and awareness camps are organized to spread the message and generate awareness on deaf-blindness/MSI.
