Services provided by MVF
1 – Psychological Services
The family is the first source of interaction and the child spends most of his/her time in the family thus parent training programs are of utmost importance. We conduct detailed assessment of the child in order to know about the diagnosis and the condition that further helps in formulating management and rehabilitation plan for the child. Parent counselling is the essential part of the program as it is important to make parents aware about their child’s condition.
2 – Occupational Therapy
This focuses on helping children and young adults with physical, sensory or cognitive disability to be as independent as possible in all spheres of their life. It helps them to improve their cognitive, physical, sensory and motor skills and enhance their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. It works to improve fine and gross motor skills and motor planning.
3 – Pre-Vocational Training
4 – Vocational Training for young adults
MVF offers training programs which draw upon local skills and resources to help young adults with deaf-blindness/MSI to learn specific trades and skills and become part of the Indian economy.
